How is it almost Christmas? One of the reasons why I love this time of year is that it’s the season for gift-giving. As a family, autumn is a busy gift-giving season with plenty of birthdays all the way up to Christmas eve! If gift-giving is one of your top love languages (or even if it’s not!), then I hope this year’s Best Christmas Gift Ideas 2023 guide will be of use.
10 EASY CHRISTMAS DIY DECOR IDEAS
But before we look at this year’s Best Christmas Gift Ideas, with the continuing cost of living crisis in mind, I wanted to re-share a blogpost I wrote on 10 Easy Christmas DIY Decor Ideas that are eco-friendly, inexpensive and creative.
MY CHRISTMAS GIFT GUIDES FROM PREVIOUS YEARS
Last year’s Top Christmas Gift Ideas 2022 is a shorter, much more edited list as I’ve already done an exhaustive Christmas Edit on this link that includes many small businesses, some of whom have since grown. These small businesses are worth supporting all the more with the current financial climate.
The year before that, I wrote a Christmas gift guide focusing only on gifts under £30. With rising inflation in the past couple of years, I cannot guarantee that these are still under £30 but again, worth a look if we are keeping to a certain gifting budget.
This year’s Best Christmas Gift Ideas 2023 is even shorter with new many new ideas catering for a variety of budgets. I have purposefully not divided these ideas into categories as I thought you might come across unexpected ideas that might just surprise you – pleasantly, I hope.
So without further ado, here’s my Best Christmas Gift Ideas 2023. Remember to check out the previous ones for more amazing gift ideas after you’ve had a browse below.
BEST CHRISTMAS GIFT IDEAS 2023
Bird and Blend
Still the best herbal teas I’ve tasted – so good, so fragrant. Seriously Bird and Blend’s teas are truly artisan – tasty and refreshing. Bird and Blend’s vast variety of creative tea blends is a must try! This year they have extended their range of advent calendars to include matcha teas!
Wilful Ink Gift Sets
Simply the best tea towels and oven gloves I’ve ever had. These Wilful Ink products are made of thick, high quality cotton fabric with brilliant designs printed in the most durable of pigments and can take all the rough and tumble year in year out. A must-have!
Sows and Grows
For seasonal online courses suitable for anyone who would like to grow their own cut flowers, Sophie and Helier, the duo behind Sows and Grows have you covered. Their Winter course and accompanying seed box is suited for the more experienced gardener and someone with a greenhouse. Their Spring course is aimed at complete beginners or anyone who don’t have a greenhouse. These are both live and ready to book.
They also offer a ‘Year in the cutting garden’ course which is the Winter, Spring and Summer course with a saving of £56.
Use code WINTER5 for £5 off courses and SOWS&GROWS10 for 10% off their perennials seed box. Perfect presents for the green-fingered or those who want to become one!

Before Instagram was even a thing, I have been buying my bedding essentials from Soak and Sleep. The best French Linen that I have tried are also from them – the softest and highest quality. I now have a collection of various favourite colours of French linen bedding from Soak and Sleep that I mix and match. I have the ultimate hungarian goose down duvets from them and it feels like sleeping under a cloud.

Berry and Brie
How a baby shower became a booming bestseller. I love reading the story of how Mako founded Berry and Brie out of pure passion and creativity. The culinary delights they serve are unsurpassed. It’s not just catering, it’s catering with a capital C: creative, contemporary, chic. Wouldn’t you love to receive a treat from Berry and Brie as a present? I sure would! It’s a prefect gift idea.
Studio Coverdale
A genius at florals and colours combined, Natasha’s art prints and products are a feast for the eyes and senses! If you’re after a track-stopping floral statement, Studio Coverdale is the place for you. From prints to postcards, blankets to scarves, bags, tableware and murals, you never know even Pjs, will have your name on it. And you get a very special wax stamp on all Studio Coverdale’s prints too personally and lovingly applied by Natasha herself.
Smeg
Let’s face it, there’s just nothing like Smeg really, is there? I am in love with their 50s Retro range in the most contemporary pastel colours – available in large and small appliances. The trouble is, once you start a collection, you can’t stop collecting. They’re a work of art in the world of appliances. A strike of genius!
Piglet’s Pantry
A surprise treat for everyone in the household! Piglet’s Pantry’s festive range are packed with delicious mouth-watering goodies that leave you wanting more. My favourites are the reindeer macarons and the savoury tarts from their festive afternoon tea. With 3 teens in the house, our Piglet’s Pantry surprise didn’t last long. They were thoroughly relished and enjoyed and brought huge smiles to my teenagers’ faces. They are great value too as you get a lot more than if you were eating out. Christmas came early!
Clarke and Clarke
For the interior lover who appreciates interior presents (and / or makeovers) all-year round. When it comes to matching fabric and wallpaper, cushions and curtains, bedding and upholstery Clarke and Clarke is the place for you.
With classic and on-trend designs rolled out every season, there is something delightful for every taste and style in uncompromising quality. Their newest collection VIVIDO is worth a browse. It’s like a retrospective of 70s design all the way to the contemporary “now”. In some ways, they are ahead of the times.
Soho Lighting
Some of the best light collection I have come across. I especially love Soho Lighting’s vintage range especially the old schoolhouse collection as well as the heritage sockets and switches.
Secret Spa
Fortunate enough to try a free gel manicure and massage with Secret Spa a few months back and it was simply the best massage I’ve had – proper deep muscle massage and the masseuse was lovely. Any of their pampering treats would make the perfect present.
Victoria and Albert Museum
So many gift ideas from the Victoria and Albert Museum shop this year with a huge focus on recycling and sustainability. It is a worthwhile drive and I’m very impressed.
Linen Bundle
One of life’s little luxuries must be to retire at the end of the day cocooned in the softest, silkiest cotton bedding. This is what sleeping in Linen Bundle feels like. The finest fairtrade 500TC cotton at a fair price. Who does not like the sound of that? And there’s currently 45% off.
Little Greene
For the all-season home decorator, you can never go wrong with Little Greene paint and wallpaper. An absolute dream to work with and the quality is second to none. I have tried both exterior and interior paint and the word impressive is an understatement. It’s top of the class.
Whittards of Chelsea
Another one of those places I always nip into for hot drink present ideas before Instagram even existed. I especially love Whittards of Chelsea’s coffee and hot chocolate gift sets.
Homesense
It’s not a secret that Homesense / TKMaxx are my go-to places to look for presents and decorations. Even just browsing for ideas on their shelves packed with pretty much everything you can think of is a win. I always come out with something every time I go in!
Anthropologie
Going into Anthropologie is like entering a dream wonderland, for me anyway. It’s the bees knees of gift shops, the cherry on top. There’s nothing like it.
Thermos
What do you give someone who already has an extensive Thermos collection for hiking and camping? Well, another Thermos of course! My husband and I recently celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary. It’s true – I gave him a Thermos from their new Iconic range and of course he was delighted! He takes it to him 3 days a week when he goes to work. It keeps food hot or cold for 24 hours. And it really works!
Benchmarx Kitchens
A kitchen for a Christmas present? Why not! Whether it’s a small upgrade or a big revamp, Benchmarx Kitchens are a delightful choice in both their professional service and product. We chose them after waiting for a couple of years with our flat kitchen reno and we are super-impressed.
Graham and Brown
For those who love wallpapers and murals, Graham and Brown’s mural of the year has ticked all my boxes! What a dreamy design and definitely something I would want in my home. They have matching paints too!
Treatbox
As it says on the tin: plenty of little treats in a box. That’s Treatbox. Even better, you get to choose the treats and they box it up for you all pretty and nice and send it as a letterbox Treatbox too if you wish. They have thought of everything.
Art Chocolat
A delectable array of beautifully crafted artisan chocolates. It’s pretty tough picking one from the many shiny multicoloured Art Chocolat delights. Each chocolate is painted in a swirl of bright colours. It’s like peering into deep space; they remind me of the recent images captured by the James Webb telescope. Heavenly delights with deep delicious creamy chocolatey taste to boot.
Gel Blaster
If you find laser shooting and target practise fun (I have very fond memories of the Buzz Lightyear Laser Shoot at Disneyland when my kids were little), then Gel Blaster is a must-try. I had a go at it in a friendly competition and then received one to take home. I bought another one and gave the pair to my nephews. I’ve been told by a reliable source – their mother and my cousin, that they had a real blast! So much fun that she had a massive bout of FOMO and ended up joining in.
Purdy and Figg
Treat the domestic goddess in your or in someone else! Try Purdy and Figg’s spa-like scents made with all natural ingredients. Your space will be smelling like a luxe spa in no time. Mix, spray and buff for a brilliant shine.
Bedeck
If you don’t know where to start looking when it comes to bed linen for yourself or as presents, then Bedeck has a beautifully curated collection of chosen brands all in one place. Handy when you are looking for a range of options, styles and budgets. I got the Joules Hydrangea set which is a delightful combination of oversized florals against a green background and pink stripes on the reverse. Stripes, in my opinion, are always in.
Mustard Made
Lockers in the most beautiful pastel tones. Better yet, assembly is a slot-in type with no screws or tools required. Mustard Made have created a range of super cool and clever storage from small sizes to large wardrobe-size lockers with matching accessories. They do not disappoint. I love mine!
Flexispot
Not just practical but pretty life-changing when it comes to work habits! This Flexispot standing desk has transformed my husband’s work from home routine. Instead of sitting behind a desk all day in meetings, he now stands. He says he feels healthier, invigorated and refreshed. The next thing he wants is a flat treadmill so he can walk in place instead of stand whilst taking meetings! What have we started?
So there you have it, my Best Christmas Gift Ideas 2023, a succinct edit of Christmas gifting. I hope these have given you some good gifting ideas and that you take advantage of the current Black Friday deals too!
Thanks so much for reading and do share to spread the word around.
I have personal experience which each brand I have featured above (some pr, some previous ads, some bought by myself, and in the case of Sows and Grows – a trusted friend) so I can truly say with hand on heart that I would highly recommend each one of them!
